Cloud Migration — Small Business
- Email and file storage migration
- Up to 3 core applications
- User access setup and data transfer
- 1 week post-migration support
Email, file storage and core applications moved off ageing hardware to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud — scheduled around your hours, not ours.
Cloud platforms are reliable. Migrations go wrong in the transition — mail that stops flowing mid-morning, permissions that don't carry across, a shared drive nobody realised was load-bearing until it disappeared.
Which is why the audit comes before anything moves. We document what you have, what depends on what, and who uses which system, then plan the cutover around when your business can actually absorb it. Usually that means a weekend.
A migration is the cheapest moment to fix access control, because everything is being touched anyway. The combined engagement adds post-migration hardening: least-privilege access, MFA enforcement, an access audit showing exactly who can reach what, and remediation of anything that audit surfaces.
Doing it as a separate project later costs more and disrupts twice.
One week on the standard engagement, two weeks on the hardened one. This matters more than it sounds — the problems a migration causes rarely appear on day one. They appear when someone returns from leave, or hits a monthly process, or needs a file from four years ago.
Ranges reflect scope. Discovery converts the range into one fixed number, in writing, before anything starts.
Our standard migration runs $1,500 to $2,800 covering email, file storage and up to three applications. The combined migration and security hardening engagement runs $2,500 to $3,000 and covers up to five applications. Both are fixed fees.
No. Mail flow is maintained throughout, with the cutover scheduled outside working hours. In a well-planned migration your staff notice a password prompt on Monday morning and nothing else.
Usually whichever your existing software already integrates with best. If you run Microsoft 365 the answer is generally Azure; if your team lives in Google Workspace it is generally Google Cloud. We make the recommendation during discovery based on what you actually run, not on which vendor we prefer.
We tell you when it can be decommissioned and when it genuinely needs keeping — some line-of-business software still has no viable cloud equivalent. We will not push a migration that leaves you worse off to make the invoice tidier.
Most clients arrive for one of these and stay because the next problem doesn't require finding another vendor.
